David Stringer
Ecstatic Chanting
September 23, Sunday, 7:30 PM
Register and pay $50 Deposit Now!

Chanting empties the mind and frees the heart. A natural extension of a Yoga practice, when you sing with complete abandon meditation follows effortlessly. The form is simple: a lead group calls and the crowd responds. The melodies are intoxicating , eliciting subtle shifts in perception. Unspooling hypnotically, they build in rhythm and intensity. The repetitions still the mind. The mantras are in Sanskrit, the mother tongue of many modern languages. But the true meaning of the mantras is in the effect they create, transporting the chanter into an experience of pure bliss. David Stringer has studied devotional singing in India with many Masters and performs frequently with Krishna Das and Jai Uttal.
BRINK is his first CD release.
Sunday 7:30-10:00 PM
cost: $25
