Is this Asheville Community Yoga Center?

No. The Asheville Community Yoga Center in Woodfin started in 2010, and is often referred to as the "free yoga" center. The original Asheville Yoga Centeris located in Asheville and has been offering community classes and free yoga (worktrade) since 1997. While Asheville Community Yoga was inspired by the Asheville Yoga Center, as its director and many of their teachers graduated from an Asheville Yoga Center Teacher Training, Asheville Yoga Center did not start nor do they operate Asheville Community Yoga .

Imitation is the Best Form of Flattery

The two organizations share a similar name and similar mission and Asheville Yoga Center is aware there is confusion due to this. Asheville Yoga Center has chosen to believe imitation is the best form of flattery and leave it at that. This sort of thing happens when you are a leader in a field. AYC accepts that and appologizes for the confusion. Asheville Yoga Center supports wholeheartedly the offering of more yoga for all, it's our mission.
