We Moved and Expanded
We opened a new building located at 211 S. Liberty St. on Sunday January 1, 2012. This is just a few doors down from our old location at 239 S. Liberty St. We have kept the 239 S. Liberty St. location and turned it into a donation based yoga studio with all new classes.
Newness
Wel have an expanded schedule of yoga classes. We kept all our current classes as they are and added classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We for the first time have a full weekend of classes on our schedule!
There is a second room at the new location. It houses workshops and teacher trainings primarily. We will also be holding special class series and community events in that room.
More info on the new building is here.
The Donation Yoga Studio
Since 1997, our mission has been to be a community center dedicated to offering all styles of hatha yoga to the public. From the beginning we've had lower priced community classes, now called Good Karma classes, that help make yoga more accessible and affordable to all.
Starting January 1 we will take that to a whole new level. At 239 S. Liberty St., wel offer weekly classes on a donation basis. We want to make it possible for everyone in our community to do yoga regardless of economic limitations. We hope that this will lead to more people doing yoga regularly. We believe more yoga equals more peace in our world.
We are very excited about keeping the legacy of this yoga room alive. So many wonderful teachers and students have practiced in the space, it's got good juju. We look forward to the new teachers and students this new/old community center will host.
