Asheville Yoga Center offers some of the best Yoga Alliance certified instructors and certified healthcare professionals in the nation. You will deepen your knowledge of yoga as you explore therapeutic yoga traditions, modalities, and yoga practices. To be eligible for this 300-Hour Certification you will need to have already obtained a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certification (from the Asheville Yoga Center or elsewhere).

Breathe new life into your yoga practice and teaching! Join in at any time to start your journey. Earn your 300-hour RYT (certified through Yoga Alliance) at your own pace. Combined with your 200-hour RYT, you will become a 500-hour RYT, which is the highest international standard for yoga teachers. After completing this program, you can register as an advanced yoga teacher or RYT-500 and lead teacher training yourself.

The Way It Works

Complete the 4 core curriculum courses and your choice of elective courses to earn your 300-hour RYT which adheres to the guidelines of Yoga Alliance’s updated standards. The programs may be in-person and/or live-streaming depending on the circumstances at the time of the training dates. Begin your 300-hour journey at any time by starting any one of the four required courses, we offer the 300-hour courses year-round. Additionally, these modules repeat annually, so if you miss one, then you may make it up in a subsequent year. Our 300-hour advanced studies courses (30-hours each) also count as continuing education credits with your Yoga Alliance registration.

The Core Curriculum Team  

Richard Fabio and Joe Taft have a combined teaching experience of over thirty-five years and in-depth study on a vast array of subjects. This training will be live and interactive, offering students the opportunity to connect personally with the instructors. This journey will help you discover your unique gifts and sharpen your abilities to see your students with greater clarity. The curriculum includes anatomy, sequencing, theming, alignment and most importantly the breath. The components of each module are outlined below.

Graduation Requirements

You must complete 300 total hours of study to graduate. We allow students up to 2 years to complete the training requirements. Your program hours will be a mix of contact hours and non-contact hours. Yoga alliance defines contact hours as hours that take place in the physical or virtual presence of a faculty member. Yoga alliance defines non-contact hours as hours that may take place without a faculty member present. Your non-contact hours are acquired by completing the required reading assigned for each individual training you participate in.

Hour Requirements

270 hours of your 300 need to be contact hours

• 135 hours will be from our training Modules (Module I, II, II, IV). These are mandatory and can be taken in any order.
• 135 remaining can be with any trainer as elective courses.

The 30 remaining hours need to be non-contact hours:

• Half-weekend course = 1 hour
• Weekend = 2 hours
• 3-Day = 3 hours
• 4-Day = 4 hours
• 5-Day = 5 hours

In order to graduate our program, you must complete our enrollment form and pay the $150 enrollment fee, complete the required hours outlined above, then apply for completion and pay the $50 graduation fee.
