Asheville Yoga Center offers some of the best Yoga Alliance certified instructors and certified healthcare professionals in the nation. You will deepen your knowledge of yoga as you explore therapeutic yoga traditions, modalities, and yoga practices. To be eligible for this 300-Hour Certification you will need to have already obtained a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certification (from the Asheville Yoga Center or elsewhere).

In this highly flexible program, you will enroll in the courses that are of most interest to you, allowing you to design a unique-to-you curriculum.  Our YA certified program will be offering virtual courses through the end of 2021, at which time we expect to return to in-person courses. Our credit-based program requires 300 total hours of which 270 hours must be completed as contact hours. An additional 30 hours will be assigned to you as required reading and course assignments.

Graduation Requirements

You must complete 300 total hours of study to graduate. Yoga Alliance recommends completing our program within 2 years, however they will allow 5 years. Your program hours will be a mix of contact hours and non-contact hours. Yoga alliance defines contact hours as hours that take place in the physical or virtual presence of a faculty member. Yoga alliance defines non-contact hours as hours that may take place without a faculty member present. Your non-contact hours are acquired by completing the required reading assigned for each individual training you participate in.

Hour Requirements

270 hours of your 300 need to be contact hours

  • 135 of those hours need to be with a lead trainer
  • 135 remaining can be with any trainer

The 30 remaining hours need to be non-contact hours:

  • Half-weekend course= 1 hour
  • Weekend=2 hours
  • 3-Day = 3 hours
  • 4-Day= 4 hours
  • 5-Day= 5 hours

In order to graduate our program, you must complete our enrollment form and pay the $150 enrollment fee, complete the required hours outlined above, then apply for completion and pay the $50 graduation fee.
